Pediatric Therapy Rooted in Care

The Madison Center began in 2004 with one family’s search for the right care.

When Madison was diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) at age two, her mother struggled to find the specialized therapy she needed. Determined to give Madison the best possible support, and to make that care more accessible to other families, she founded The Madison Center as a nonprofit pediatric therapy clinic.

With intensive therapy, support, and a lot of hard work, Madison grew into a confident and expressive young woman. Her story continues to inspire who we are today and our commitment to helping every child find their voice, build meaningful skills, and reach their potential.

For more than two decades, The Madison Center has been part of the Excelsior community, providing pediatric speech and occupational therapy to children and families throughout the west metro.

As a nonprofit organization, our focus is on what matters most: providing thoughtful, individualized care that helps children communicate, participate more fully in everyday life, and build greater independence.

We believe therapy should be meaningful, functional, and centered around each child and family.

No two children are the same, and we don’t believe their therapy should be either.

Our speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists create individualized therapy plans based on each child’s strengths, needs, and goals. We use evidence-based, play-based approaches to make therapy engaging, meaningful, and relevant to everyday life.

Families are an important part of the process. We partner closely with parents and caregivers and collaborate with teachers, physicians, and other professionals when appropriate so that the skills children build in therapy can carry over at home, at school, and in their community.
